Northern California Veterans Cemetery reopens

The Northern California Veterans Cemetery in Igo has re-opened following the nearly two-week closure due to the Carr Fire in Shasta County.

Power was restored to the cemetery Monday and services have been rescheduled to start Wednesday.

For general information about our veterans cemetery at Igo call (866) 777-4533 , during business hours, Monday-Friday, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. To re-schedule an interment for a loved one, please call (530) 227-9607.

As of the morning of August 7, the Carr Fire was 47 percent contained and has burned 167,113 acres. If you or someone you know has been affected by the wildfires, please find assistance on our website: California Wildfire Information for Veterans.
